Job summary

Oakwood Village is seeking a Central Staffing Manager to oversee the centralized staffing office for two CCRC campuses in Wisconsin. You will lead scheduling, deployment, call-offs, and overtime control while ensuring compliance and budget alignment.

You will coach Staffing Coordinators, partner with executives and department leaders, and maintain strong staffing records to support resident care and engagement.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of healthcare staffing or scheduling experience preferred.
• 3+ years of leadership experience.
• Experience with long-term care or senior living preferred.
• Strong understanding of Wisconsin staffing regulations preferred.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads the daily operations of the Central Staffing Office across two CCRC campuses, ensuring coverage across clinical and operational departments.
• Manages workforce scheduling, shift coverage, call-offs, and staffing adjustments based on census, acuity, admissions, and discharges.
• Develops and executes staffing strategies to optimize labor resources, balance campuses, and minimize overtime costs.
• Monitors labor utilization, productivity, overtime, incentive pay, and staffing trends to support budgets.
• Supervises Staffing Coordinators and Scheduling Specialists, coaching a high-performing team.
• Partners with leaders to address staffing needs and support resident care and employee engagement.
• Serves as the subject matter expert for scheduling systems and maintains accurate employee profiles and records.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, regulatory, labor, and organizational requirements and agreements.
• Analyzes staffing metrics and implements process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Provides hands-on staffing support during shortages or emergencies; supports 24/7 operations.
