Job summary

MSU Federal Credit Union in Chicago seeks a Branch Manager to lead one or more branches, drive KPIs, and deliver exceptional member and employee experiences.

You will coach teams, manage performance, and align branch activities with strategic goals while promoting a hospitable environment and polished branch presentation.

This role also requires partnering with Lending, ensuring compliance and risk management, and representing the credit union at community events.

Qualifications

• Degree in a related field is preferred; High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Prior experience leading others formally or informally is required; or completion of one of the Credit Union's leadership programs in lieu of experience.
• Availability to work during branch hours, including Saturdays, and the ability to travel to support multiple locations and work outside standard hours to meet operational needs across the branch network.

Responsibilities

• Execute the branches' strategic direction by aligning branch activities with KPIs and designing promotions.
• Manage the full member experience in the branch, ensuring a hospitality-inspired environment and polished branch presentation.
• Support employees with addressing and resolving complex member situations while evaluating risk in decisions and reporting to escalate when needed.
• Leverage engagement tools to identify opportunities for employee engagement improvement and foster a collaborative team culture.
• Evaluate and manage the employee performance cycle including reviews, salary considerations, and promotions.
• Collaborate with Lending Manager to develop and coach Loan Officers and ensure exceptional member service.
• Ensure compliance, risk management, and audit readiness across the branch network.
• Identify improvement opportunities to enhance branch performance and share best practices.
• Oversee hiring and onboarding to maintain optimal staffing and scheduling aligned with branch metrics.
• Identify and address training needs to elevate team performance.
• Lead projects and committees with stakeholders inside and outside the Credit Union.
• Represent the branch and Credit Union at community events aligned with strategic initiatives.
