Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts in Chillicothe, MO is seeking a Mulcher Equipment Operator to remove branches and tree material from electrical lines. The role requires mulcher experience with Geo Boy, Barko or skidsteer, and travel for storm restoration work may be required.

This full-time position offers $21 per hour, a pay range of $20–$24 per hour, and benefits including health insurance and a 401K.

Qualifications

• Prior heavy equipment operating experience is preferred in utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries.
• Ability to obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR.
• Possession of a valid Driver's License; CDL and DOT Medical Card required to operate trucks over 26,000 lbs.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce safe practices and rules.
• Prepare equipment and materials daily under Foreperson’s direction.
• Operate equipment as directed by Foreperson.
• Maintain and repair equipment and tools used in operations.
• Assist crew members and take a leadership role when required.
• Clean up and dispose of debris.
• Set up barriers, warning signs, flags, markers, etc. for safety.
• Stay informed on equipment, procedures and company policies.
• Track mileage for Foreperson.
• Perform storm restoration duties as needed.
