Job summary

Del Valle High School is seeking a committed Student Support Interventionist to implement school-wide behavioral supports and coordinate MTSS/RTI strategies. The role focuses on reducing classroom disruptions by identifying root causes and teaching self-regulation to support academic success.

The candidate will collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure consistent behavioral expectations and effective interventions across grade levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsement for subject and level assigned or approved alternative certification program.
• ESL certification preferred.
• Candidate must have a satisfactory outcome of a fingerprinting background check.

Responsibilities

• Analyze campus-wide discipline data to identify hot spots and demographics.
• Collaborate with administration to refine the campus Discipline Management Plan and Tier 1 strategies.
• Manage students’ behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and handbook.
• Lead the implementation of Restorative Practices to decrease recidivism in disciplinary infractions.
• Provide real-time coaching to teachers on de-escalation and classroom management.
• Conduct observations of students to provide feedback on behavioral triggers.

• Conduct home visits or conferences to align behavioral expectations with families.
• Liaise with community mental health resources.
