Job summary

KIPP St. Louis is seeking a Behavior Climate Specialist to support schoolwide behavior systems and strengthen Tier 1 and Tier 2 supports across the school.

The role focuses on coaching students on behavior expectations and self-regulation, while reinforcing consistent culture systems in classrooms and common spaces. You will work with the School Leader, Assistant School Leader, teachers, counselors, and student support staff to address behavioral challenges, increase time in class, and help

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree requirement and experience in education-related field.
• Experience supporting students with behavioral or social-emotional needs preferred.
• Ability to design and monitor behavior intervention plans.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong and visible presence throughout the school day to reinforce behavior expectations.
• Support consistent implementation of schoolwide culture systems.
• Monitor hallways, transitions, and common spaces to ensure a safe and structured learning environment.
• Reinforce positive student behavior and character development aligned to school values.
• Provide targeted behavioral coaching to students requiring additional support.
• Collaborate with counselors, Special Education teams, and leadership to coordinate supports.
• Communicate with families regarding student behavior and progress when appropriate.
• Participate in MTSS or student support team meetings.
• Monitor and analyze behavior data to identify patterns and inform interventions.
