Alverno Laboratories in Indianapolis is seeking qualified medical laboratory professionals to join our clinical team. The role involves specimen processing, test performance and reporting of results across waived to high complexity tests, under the supervision of the lab Director.

Responsibilities include active participation in quality control procedures, adherence to QA standards and CLIA/CAP guidelines, and optional specimen collection when needed.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a laboratory science or MLT required for MLT track.
• Bachelor degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology required for MT track.
• Alternative bachelor in chemical, physical or biological sciences with 1 year of clinical lab experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Process specimens and perform tests across waived, moderate and high complexity as authorized.
• Report results according to established procedures and QA standards.
• Participate in quality control, quality assurance, and adherence to CLIA, CAP and JCAHO guidelines.
• Perform specimen collection as needed.

Associate degree in laboratory science or MLT

Bachelor degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology

Bachelor degree in chemical, physical or biological sciences with 1 year clinical lab experience

Shift: 7:30 PM - 6:00 AM; 7 on 7 off, Weekends and holidays per scheduled rotation;

FTE: 0.9

WHAT WILL YOU DO

This individual is responsible for specimen processing, test performance and reporting test results. Testing performed will include waived, moderate and high complexity tests as authorized by the Director. He/she will report results of all tests performed according to established procedures. In addition this individual will participate fully in all quality control procedures and comply with quality assurance and quality management standards within the department as outlined by the department, JCAHO, CAP, CLIA and other applicable agencies. He/she will perform specimen collection as necessary.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

MLT

Associates degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.

MT

Bachelor degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology from an accredited college or university.

Or

Bachelor degree in chemical, physical or biological sciences. At least 1 year of pertinent full-time clinical laboratory experience or training preferred.
