Moravian University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania invites applications for a twelve-month, tenure-track or clinical (non-tenure track) Assistant/Associate Professor position in the Master of Social Work (MSW) Program within the School of Behavioral & Community Health (SoBach).

The role includes teaching, advising, course development, and service responsibilities, with scholarship expected for tenure-track hires.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate (e.g. PhD, DSW) preferably in Social Work or related field
• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from CSWE-accredited program
• Minimum of two years full-time practice in social work
• Current LSW or LCSW in Pennsylvania or eligibility to obtain licensure within four months
• Post-secondary teaching experience online and in-person
• Commitment to multicultural/social justice framework and ADEI in education
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Scholarly record or solidified research interests (tenure-track only)

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and assess MSW courses including generalist and specialist classes
• Assess student learning in courses and across MSW competencies (EPAS 2022)
• Participate in MSW accreditation goals and activities
• Teach courses in the program including online asynchronous formats and in-person residencies at Moravian’s Bethlehem campus
• Collaborate in team-teaching and interprofessional education, within SoBach, CoH, and the university
• Identify and develop new courses and concentrations in response to workforce needs
• Engage in partnership activities and serve on committees and advising per faculty handbook
