Job summary

Merrimack College invites applications for one assistant professor of practice in the Master of Social Work program. The 9-month, non-tenure track position requires teaching on-campus and online, advising students, and contributing to program growth.

Qualifications

MSW from CSWE accredited program or equivalency as defined by CSWE.
Doctoral degree in Social Work or an Ed.D. or Ph.D. in a related field.
Minimum 2-years full-time post MSW experience in social work practice.
Minimum of 3 years of on-campus and/or online teaching in a MSW program.

Responsibilities

Teach a total of 8 courses across fall and spring semesters (evening on-campus).
Advise graduate students and actively contribute to the MSW program and college.
Deliver formal on-campus and online instruction with assessments and grading.
Attend faculty meetings and complete programmatic tasks as assigned by the Dean.
Engage in mentoring and supervision of graduate students.
