Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Therapist to join the primary care treatment team. The role focuses on assessing, triaging, and coordinating mental and physical health care, delivering brief evidence-based interventions and psycho-education to develop patient self-management.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology or social work.
• MSW or licensed psychologist in Michigan preferred.
• Experience in integrated behavioral health in primary care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess the clinical status of patients referred by the primary care provider.
• Provide brief behavioral interventions using evidence-based techniques.
• Assist in program development for conditions such as pain, diabetes, insomnia and stress.
• Document in the EHR and registry; track treatment response and outcomes.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation when needed.
