Job summary

Courser is seeking a Systems Engineer II to manage and support client IT infrastructure within an MSP environment. You will deploy, monitor, and secure systems, and serve as a technical expert for diverse technology stacks.

The role includes occasional client site work, on-call rotation every 4 weeks with a bonus, and mileage reimbursement for travel. Compensation ranges from $65k to $75k depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 4–5 years of systems engineering or IT infrastructure experience.
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux OS.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; on-call every 4 weeks.
• Willing to travel to client sites; mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain client IT infrastructure.
• Deploy OS, virtualization, and cloud services.
• Monitor servers and network devices for uptime.
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across systems and networks.
• Implement security best practices and backup solutions.
• Provide technical support and act as escalation point for complex issues.
• Lead projects like server migrations and cloud integrations.
