Job summary

vdBA SecureOps in San Diego is seeking an experienced Project Manager to own the delivery of client projects—onboardings, migrations, and security rollouts—in a multi-client MSP environment.

You will build plans, manage budgets, coordinate engineers and vendors, and serve as the primary client contact.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and a track record of delivering IT projects on time and within scope.

Qualifications

• Must come from an existing MSP with multi-client delivery.
• Proven on-time, on-scope delivery for IT projects (onboardings, migrations, infrastructure/cloud/security rollouts).
• Strong planning, scheduling, budgeting, scope/change management, and risk management.
• Hands-on PSA usage for project and time management.
• Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of client projects—from kickoff to closeout.
• Build and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource schedules.
• Coordinate engineering, client stakeholders, and vendors to keep work moving.
• Serve as the primary client contact during active projects; manage expectations on scope, timeline, and deliverables.
• Partner with client success for handoffs from sold deal to delivery to steady-state support.
• Manage projects in the PSA (ConnectWise or similar) and maintain documentation.
• Standardize and improve project delivery templates, playbooks, and processes as the practice scales.
• Coordinate engineering resourcing across concurrent projects; track profitability, hours burn, and change orders.
• Report project health, milestones, and risks to leadership.
• Escalate blockers and drive cross-functional resolution.
