Job summary

Proactive Technology Group is seeking a hands-on IT engineer to support infrastructure deployments, client implementations, and network improvements across our managed client base. You will perform technical project work, resolve escalated issues, and help deploy and optimize client environments.

The role requires comfort with Windows servers, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and network infrastructure, with travel to client sites for onsite deployments and support.

Qualifications

• Experience in systems administration and network engineering.
• Hands-on with Windows environments, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and common business apps.
• Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, firewalls, switches, and wireless networks.
• Ability to work independently and follow defined project/service processes.
• Strong troubleshooting across infrastructure, network, and end-user technologies.
• Clear cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Execute infrastructure and systems implementation tasks across client environments.
• Deploy, configure, and support Windows servers, Microsoft 365, AD, and related business systems.
• Assist with migrations, server upgrades, workstation deployments, and other projects.
• Document work, configurations, and findings in ticketing systems.
• Configure and troubleshoot switches, firewalls, VLANs, wireless networks.
• Support multi-site connectivity improvements and network refreshes.
• Provide escalated technical support for servers, networking, and end-user systems.
• Travel onsite to client locations for implementations and troubleshooting.
• Support after-hours maintenance and emergency response when required.
