Job summary

Paranet Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Level 2 Systems Engineer to join our Managed Services team. This role bridges Level 1 support and Level 3 engineering, handling escalated issues, supporting project delivery, and helping develop junior technicians.

You will work across client environments, own complex troubleshooting, and contribute to patching, documentation, and knowledge sharing with the team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT support, systems administration, or MSP experience.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, and troubleshooting end-user environments.
• Basic to intermediate experience with Azure administration and cloud technologies.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, switching, and wireless networking.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an escalation point for issues that cannot be resolved by Level 1 technicians.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Windows, Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, workstation, and server-related issues.
• Assist Level 3 engineers with project implementation, migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure deployments.
• Monitor client environments and proactively identify issues before they impact business operations.
• Build trusted relationships with clients by providing clear communication and practical technical guidance.
• Maintain accurate documentation and create knowledge base articles to improve team efficiency.
• Mentor and support Level 1 technicians by sharing knowledge and assisting with escalated issues.
• Participate in system maintenance, patching, security improvements, and operational best practices.
• Stay current on emerging technologies and continually improve technical skills.
