Job summary

Omnis Computers, an established MSP in Schenectady, NY, is seeking an IT Support Technician / IT Support Engineer. Starting pay is $25.00/hour with a full-time, Monday-Friday schedule.

The role offers hands-on experience across Microsoft 365, Windows, networking, security, servers, and client environments. Ideal for those early in their IT career with a strong technical foundation, or experienced Level 1/2 technicians seeking growth in an MSP setting.

Qualifications

• Basic to intermediate Windows troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365.
• Basic networking knowledge: IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, VPNs.
• Experience installing/troubleshooting hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote, phone, and onsite technical support.
• Troubleshoot Windows desktops and laptops.
• Support Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and related apps.
• Create and manage Microsoft 365 users, licenses, permissions, and MFA.
• Troubleshoot printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
• Diagnose internet, Wi-Fi, VPN, and network connectivity issues.
• Set up and deploy new computers and hardware.
• Assist with Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
• Support firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and network gear.
• Troubleshoot software and line-of-business apps.
• Assist with endpoint security and backups.
• Document work and maintain tickets.
• Travel to client sites for onsite support.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on large projects.
