Job summary

K2 Staffing is partnering with a leading IT Solutions and MSP provider in Tempe, AZ to hire an IT Help Desk Engineer. The role blends hands-on networking, server management, and customer-focused service delivery to meet client business needs.

The ideal candidate has MSP experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for building technology-based solutions. This on-site position emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and effective client engagement.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting and repairing networking equipment, Windows servers and workstations, Exchange Server and Active Directory.
Three years of experience in a client-facing environment such as sales engineering.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to engage with clients at a business level.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Experience in an MSP environment is a major plus.

Responsibilities

Provide pre- and post-sales support including discovery meetings, site visits, proposals and presentations.
Architect and deploy routers, switches, managed switches, and firewalls; implement and monitor network security.
Deploy and manage Windows Servers and Active Directory; design Local Area Networks.
Maintain network software and hardware; build file servers and cloud solutions.
Configure and deploy VOIP solutions; manage Exchange Server.
Monitor alert systems and respond per guidelines; handle escalated requests.
Onboard new users and assist with ongoing technical account management.
