Job summary

The City of Sandy Springs seeks an experienced Stormwater Permit Manager to lead regulatory compliance and protect local waterways. The role manages MS4 permit compliance, coordinates the stormwater team, other departments, agencies, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.

It also develops guidance for infrastructure maintenance and construction. Ideal candidates have a degree in environmental or civil engineering, 5 years in permit compliance, strong reporting, and the ability to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Five years of experience in stormwater permit compliance.
• Experience coordinating MS4 permits with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, staff, and the public.
• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts and communicate with stakeholders and the public.
• Strong technical background in stormwater management.

Responsibilities

• Receive, investigate, and resolve citizen stormwater complaints and communicate investigation results to residents and stakeholders.
• Coordinate inspections and maintenance of City stormwater infrastructure, including work orders and tracking contractor progress.
• Conduct inspections of City properties and designated infrastructure.
• Prepare reports demonstrating compliance with state stormwater permit requirements.
• Coordinate stormwater education and community involvement activities with residents and City employees.
