Lofton Staffing Services is seeking a skilled Project Scheduler / Microsoft Project Planner for a temporary 3-6 month assignment in Lafayette, LA. You will own the development, maintenance, and analysis of project schedules, ensuring timelines stay on track and resources are optimized across teams.

This role requires advanced Microsoft Project expertise, MS Project certification, and 2–5 years of hands-on scheduling experience in project controls.

Qualifications

• Active Microsoft Project certification is required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• 2–5 years hands-on experience in project planning, scheduling, or project controls.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Sharp attention to detail and ability to solve problems under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain detailed project master schedules, milestones, and task dependencies using Microsoft Project.
• Monitor ongoing project activities, collect progress updates, and keep baselines current.
• Perform critical path analysis and identify scheduling risks; deliver status reports to management.
• Coordinate resource allocation and workload distribution to prevent bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and external vendors to align on timelines and adjustments.
