Job summary

PACCAR—Kenworth Division is seeking a proactive MRO Buyer to manage procurement of maintenance, repair and operations supplies across the Kenworth Division and PACCAR corporate. You will drive total cost reductions while ensuring quality, delivery and service to internal customers.

Responsibilities include PO management, supplier negotiations, bid analysis, and coordination with multiple departments to optimize sourcing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of purchasing, engineering, operations, or related business experience.
• Experience with Production or MRO purchasing, manufacturing, and/or supply chain management.
• Proven negotiation and strong analytical skills.
• Creative, quality, and results-driven work ethic.
• Team player that is self-motivated and able to work under limited supervision.
• Demonstrated leadership to accomplish company goals.
• Ability to develop Return on Investment Analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue purchase orders for MRO products and services.
• Route and distribute POs for additional approval per authority matrices.
• Manage supplier relationships including commercial and contractual requirements.
• Obtain quotations, bids and purchases adhering to price, quality and schedule standards.
• Identify opportunities to consolidate purchasing activities across PACCAR locations.
• Develop, negotiate and implement cost-reduction strategies and improve supply chain performance.
• Collaborate with Commodity Managers on MRO products and services.
• Maintain supplier database and coordinate communications.
• Issue change orders within approved limits of authority.
• Coordinate MRO activities with other departments as needed.
• Monitor receipt of product quality and quantity; report deficiencies and drive corrective actions.
• Assist Accounting with resolving invoice discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting related to MRO activities.
• Utilize BI tools to analyze MRO trends and present findings to management.
• Engage in special projects as assigned.
