Job summary

Rochester Regional Health's Imaging department at Rochester General Hospital seeks an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures with a focus on patient safety and comfort. You will operate MRI equipment, educate patients, and ensure accurate documentation for each exam.

The role requires NYS licensure, ARRT-R certification within 6 months, and BLS; weekend incentives are available as part of compensation. Schedule includes Fri–Mon shifts with weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or completion of a Radiologic Technology hospital certificate program.
• NYS license in Radiologic Technology required OR must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of hire.
• ARRT-R certification required within 6 months of employment.
• NYS Injection Certification within 6 months of employment; if hired on or before Sep 13, 2021, required by Sep 1, 2022.
• BLS Certification within 6 months of employment

Responsibilities

• Equipment operation: perform routine and advanced MRI procedures with patient safety under general supervision.
• Patient care: educate patients and maintain a safe, comfortable environment throughout the exam.
• Documentation: transfer imaging data for archiving and ensure proper exam records
