Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• NYS CRT license required on hire.
• ARRT certification with CE credits required on hire.
• MRI environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• In an inpatient setting, sets up and utilizes all MRI equipment including imaging coils, patient monitoring systems, and related articles.
• Evaluate image quality by troubleshooting scanner or coil problems and scan parameters.
• Identifies and compensates for imaging artifacts.
• Reviews MRI registration and screening form thoroughly to confirm safe access into magnet room.
• Assists in training new MRI technologists and students.
• Performing all filming, archiving and PACS network data management for each patient scanned.
• Master new techniques with each scanner upgrade.
• Responsible for scanning patients in a safe and efficient manner, completing all associated paper and computer work.
