Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology required.
• CRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist current NYS licensure upon hire required.
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with CE credits upon hire required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate MRI equipment including coils and monitoring systems.
• Evaluate image quality and troubleshoot scanner or coil problems.
• Identify and compensate for imaging artifacts.
• Review MRI registration and screening forms for safe access to magnet room.
• Assist in training new MRI technologists and students.
• Perform filming, archiving and PACS data management for each patient scanned.
• Retrieve old MRI data for restoration and networking.
• Maintain safety and documentation, and discharge patients with post-MRI instructions.
