Qualifications

• MRI experience required.
• ARRT MR certification within 6 months of employment.
• NYS Radiologic Technology license or permit with licensure within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures with emphasis on patient safety.
• Educates patients and maintains a comfortable environment during exams.
• Provides on-call coverage for the MRI section.
• Documents exams in the EMR and prepares rooms daily.
• Administers IV contrast after competency assessment.
• Trained in PACS and transfers imaging data for archiving.
• Follows radiologist orders for MRI imaging and contrast administration.
• Assists with patient transport and status monitoring as needed.
