Job summary

Sanford Health is hiring a Radiologic Technologist to perform MRI exams, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety. You will work with diverse patients, coordinate with clinicians, and document findings in the EMR system.

The role requires ARRT or ARMRIT certification, AMA/JRCERT training, and BLS within six weeks. On-call duties may include nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

  • Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training in an AMA approved or JRCERT approved school is required.
  • MRI training or experience preferred.
  • ARRT certification or ARMRIT certification is required at the time of hire.
  • MRI certification to be obtained within two years post-hire preferred.
  • Licensure requirements may apply in ND and IA as specified by state boards.
  • BLS within six weeks of employment and recertification as required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) exams.
  • Exercises professional judgment in procedures, MRI safety, and patient care.
  • Initiates life support measures as necessary.
  • Interacts with patients, families, physicians, and health care workers.
  • Operates MRI equipment with extensive knowledge.
  • Positions the patient and ensures comfort during the exam.
  • Administers contrast material as required.
  • Obtains patient history and clinical indication for MRI study.
  • Documents accurately in patient records.
  • Uses EMR software for scheduling and billing procedures.
  • Develops understanding of patient's physical and emotional status.
  • Maintains knowledge of cross-section anatomy.
  • Works well with patients of all ages.
  • On-call involving nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.
