Job summary

Required is a JRCERT-accredited education and at least one year of radiologic tech experience, with ARRT/ARMRIT certification or eligibility and within one year of hire to attain it.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT accredited program.
• One year experience as a staff radiologic technologist required; one year experience in a special imaging modality preferred.
• Must have a thorough understanding of diagnostic radiographic principles, including film processing and quality control; knowledge of cross sectional anatomy; understanding of computer language.
• Registered or registry eligible by ARRT or ARMRIT certification. If not registered upon hire, must attain registration within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) exams with professional judgment and safety.
• Position the patient and provide comfort during the exam.
• Administer contrast material as required and obtain patient history for MRI study.
• Utilize EMR for scheduling and billing; document in patient records.
• May perform mobile imaging, EKG, cardiac monitor placement, and DEXA procedures as needed.
