Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Massachusetts is seeking an MRI technologist under the MRI Supervisor to perform routine and advanced MRI procedures with a strong emphasis on patient safety. The role requires flexibility for overtime, on-call rotations, and coverage at other sites as needed.

The candidate will document patient information, manage EPIC contrast notes, follow safety protocols, and ensure RIS/PACS accuracy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved Radiology Technology or MRI program.
• BLS; ARRT; MRI registry within 12–24 months if trained; MRI cert exams within 18–24 months.
• Proficient in cross sectional anatomy and magnet safety.
• Experience with PACS or willingness to train.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient information and safety data for MRI exams.
• Assess patient condition and exam appropriateness from orders.
• Document contrast use and allergies in EPIC with accuracy.
• Perform MRI exams following clinical protocols and post-processing guidelines.
• Manage RIS/PACS workflow with precise patient demographics and accession numbers.
• Maintain magnet safety and a clean, safe environment; participate in team care.
• Contribute to quality improvement and mandatory education.
