Job summary

Akumin Operating Corp. is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MR studies, ensuring patient safety and effective communication with radiologists and staff on site and/or remote.

You will train and orient new technologists, Patient Coordinators and MR Technologist Assistants. Responsibilities include pre-screening for contraindications, operating MR systems, addressing concerns, and working across locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR Certification.
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable.
• MR technologist: 3 months supervised MRI experience or currently enrolled in MRI program.
• MR registered technologist: No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MR studies.
• Ensure patient safety and pre-screening for contraindications.
• Operate multiple MR systems as required.
• Communicate with radiologists and customers effectively.
• Train/orient new technologists and assistants on site or remotely.
• Other duties as assigned.
