Job summary

Akumin is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MR studies with emphasis on patient safety, image quality, and efficient workflow. The role supports communication with radiologists, patients and staff across multiple sites, including mobile units.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, ARRT MR or ARMRIT credentials, CPR, and licensure where applicable. Remote and on-site work options may apply, with potential sign-on benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• ARRT(R) or ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification as allowable by contract.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR Certification.
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable.
• MR registered technologist RT(MR) or ARMRIT: No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient safety and pre-screening for contraindications.
• Produce high quality diagnostic MR images and operate multiple MR systems.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, patients and team members.
• Train or orient new technologists, patient coordinators and MR Technologist Assistants.
• Work on site and/or remote; adapt to mobile environments.
• Other duties as assigned.
