Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking an MRI Technologist for the Chester Emergency Center and Occupational Health in Chester, VA. This PRN role requires operating the MRI system, administering contrast, and ensuring patient safety per protocol.

You will train new staff, contribute to QA, and collaborate with radiology and other teams while maintaining high professional standards and safety practices.

Qualifications

• MRI Registry from an accredited organization (ARRT) or ARMRIT (required)
• State licensure (preferred)
• BLS basic life support (required at hire where applicable)
• Certification/Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology and RDMS/ARRT(S)/NMTCB (as applicable)
• Advanced MRI Registry preferred or must obtain within two years
• Education: Associate's degree preferred in Radiologic Technology
• Experience: 1 year MRI dept in hospital setting (preferred)
• Training: EPIC EHR and PACS (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI system and related equipment per protocol
• Ensures patient safety and proper screening
• Positions patients and administers contrast agents
• Trains and mentors MRI students and new staff
• Participates in QA and performance improvement
• Maintains access control of MRI suite and follows safety standards
• Collaborates with radiology team and other modalities
• Supports audits and regulatory compliance
