Job summary

The MRI Technologist at Bon Secours Chester Emergency Center and Occupational Health performs MRI exams according to established protocols, under Radiologist supervision, and supports training of new staff and students. You will ensure patient safety, proper positioning, and accurate sequence selection to obtain optimal images.

• ARRT MRI registry or ARMRIT (required)
• State licensure preferred
• BLS certification at hire (where required)

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned tasks with appropriate speed for workload
• Operate MRI system and related equipment to obtain images
• Apply MRI safety principles to minimize risk to patient and staff
• Position patient and select scan parameters per protocol; perform contrast administration
• Screen patients for safety and ensure comfort, privacy and safety during procedure
• Assist in education/training of students and new staff
• Participate in performance improvement and audits
• Maintain QC and quality control in MRI processes
• Collaborate with other departments and modalities
