Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking an MRI Tech to manage daily MRI modality operations under Radiologist supervision. You will perform MRI exams, ensure safety, and assist in training students and new staff. The role emphasizes patient care, quality control, and collaboration with other departments.

Responsibilities include selecting pulse sequences, positioning, IV/contrast administration, and maintaining QC standards while ensuring compliance with safety protocols and patient privacy.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in MRI department in hospital setting (preferred)
• EPIC EHR (preferred)
• PACS (preferred)
• MRI Registry/ARRT certification required (or ARMRIT) and state licensure preferred

Responsibilities

• Select and operate the MRI system and related equipment to obtain images per protocol
• Position patient and input scan parameters; administer IVs and contrast as required
• Ensure safety, patient comfort, privacy and monitoring during procedures
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain consent/history when applicable
• Educate and orient MRI students and new staff
• Participate in QA and performance improvement projects and audits
• Manage pulse sequences and data acquisition parameters
• Maintain magnet room security and access control
• Support collaboration with other modalities and departments
• Oversee and maintain QC activities
