Job summary

Advocate Health's Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital seeks a Part-time MRI Technologist for PRN coverage in its radiology department. The role emphasizes patient prep, safety, imaging, and radiologist collaboration in a busy MRI suite.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine; advanced registry in MRI via ARMRIT/ARRRT within 1 year of hire.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Examiners requests and verifies orders; refer to Radiologist for discrepancies.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and explain procedures.
• Interview patients for medical history and review EMRs for pertinent data.
• Assume responsibility for the exam from start to dictated results.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per protocol; document contrast.
• Evaluate image quality and consult Radiologist as needed.
• Perform basic patient care and assist in emergencies; participate in code blue procedures.
• Operate MRI equipment and assist during invasive procedures as needed.

AMA approved Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program

ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology

ARRT/NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine with ARMRIT/ARRT MRI registry
