Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ability to obtain quality MRI images of patients.
• Complies with MRI safety guidelines for patients, staff and self.
• Operates MRI equipment safely including screening patients for contraindications.
• Render patient care professionally and identify patients using proper protocols.
• Prepare MRI scanner and perform quality control tests.
• Assist radiology staff in administering medications and contrast agents during MRI procedures.
• Review exams for technical accuracy and anatomical orientation on images.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and confidentiality.

Job Summary And Qualifications

• Demonstrate the ability to obtain quality MRI images of patients
• Complies with MRI safety guidelines for patients, staff and self. Operates MRI equipment safety including screening all patients for contraindications.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform all necessary computer operations
• Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner and always identifies patients utilizing the proper protocols.
• Prepare MRI scanner and perform quality control tests.
• Assist the radiology nurse or radiologist in administering medication, contrast agents, and all types of care to the patient during MRI procedure
• Reviews each exam for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images.
• Demonstrates willingness to assist in additional duties
• Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Maintains strict confidentiality regarding employees and patients
• Completes and maintains educational requirements

What qualifications you will need:

• Certificate
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR, or (ARRT-MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (ARMRIT) American Registry of MRI Technologists must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
