Job Summary And Qualifications

• Demonstrates the ability to adapt technique/treatment to age of population served, including newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, while providing care/service with respect to cultural differences and spiritual needs
• Positions and prepares patients for exams according to the type of procedure to be performed
• Performs procedures and assesses patients throughout and responds to patient needs as appropriate
• Completes appropriate documentation for each study performed
• Performs all computer and PACS functions, observes safety regulations and aseptic practice techniques to protect patients and staff
• Demonstrates knowledge of Universal protocols
• Uses professional judgment and critical thinking when performing procedures
• Participates in orientation and training of new staff members and instructs students during their clinical rotations
• Maintains thorough knowledge of the scanners and exam protocols in order to ensure the highest quality procedures
• Performs all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (ARRT-R) Radiography
• (ARRT-MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or (MRT) Magnetic Resonance Technologist, or (ARMRIT) American Registry of MRI Technologists, or Associate Degree must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
