Job summary

Intermountain Health St George Regional Hospital in Utah seeks an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI exams and ensure high-quality imaging. You will work with radiologists to deliver accurate results while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

The role requires ARRT MR or ARMRIT credentials (or cross-training in MRI), BLS, and IV competency within 30 days. Preferred: 1-2 years of experience and a strong patient-care focus in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR or ARMRIT or cross-training in MRI required.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers required.
• IV Competency within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT/ARRT MR or equivalent competency in clinical functions.
• Prepares patients, verifies identity, and conducts MRI exams per protocol.
• Reviews images for quality, clarity and accuracy.
• Adheres to MRI safety guidelines and maintains a safe environment.
• Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising care.
• Instructs students and other MRI Techs in protocols and equipment.
• Provides patient education, ensures comfort, and addresses concerns.
• Follows infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operates equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keeps accurate records of procedures and adverse reactions.
• Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC, and reporting failures.
