Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking an MRI technologist to perform high-quality MRI exams in a hospital setting. You will position patients, obtain histories, screen for contraindications, and explain procedures to patients.

The role requires ARRT/ARRT or ARMRIT certification, NJ license preferred, and BLS. You will operate multiple MRI platforms, ensure patient safety, and support a collaborative radiology team.

Qualifications

• Must have NJ license or ARMRIT if applicable.
• ARRT/ARMRIT certification required; ARRT preferred.
• BLS certification required for all staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures following physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients about the MRI process and address questions.
• Administer contrast agents and manage IV access when needed.
• Operate and maintain MRI equipment and troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure image quality and full exam completion.
• Adhere to MRI safety standards and HIPAA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with hospital staff and patients.
• Follow all hospital policies and PRIDE values.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
