Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking an MRI technologist to perform high-quality MRI procedures across hospital settings. You will educate patients, establish IV access for contrast, operate MRI equipment, ensure image quality, and maintain strict safety and HIPAA compliance.

The role requires NJ radiography credentials (ARRT/ARMRIT preferred) and BLS, with 2+ years in a hospital MRI environment preferred. This on-site position supports multiple Atlantic Health facilities in New Jersey.

Qualifications

• NJDEP approved radiography program or ARMRIT.
• Licensed by the state of New Jersey in Radiography preferred.
• ARRT or ARMRIT Certification required. ARRT preferred.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures: Generate high quality reproducible MRI scans based on physician orders and established protocols.
• Prepare and educate patients: Obtain accurate medical histories, screen contraindications, explain the procedure and address questions.
• Administer contrast agents: Initiate IV access, prepare and administer contrast agents when necessary.
• Operate and maintain MRI equipment: Monitor, power injector, troubleshoot malfunctions and perform routine checks.
• Ensure image quality: Evaluate images for completeness and quality.
• Adhere to safety standards, HIPAA, and infection prevention policies.
• Communicate effectively with hospital staff and teams.
