Job summary

SimonMed Imaging is seeking an MRI Technologist to deliver high-resolution diagnostic images with strict safety standards and compassionate patient care. You will operate MRI systems, apply physics knowledge and imaging protocols, and ensure accurate documentation while maintaining calm, professional interaction with patients and radiologists.

Qualifications

• ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required.
• Valid state licensure current.
• Hands-on CPR/BLS certified and current.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic or MRI Technology program.
• 1+ year of experience in a high-volume MRI environment preferred.
• MRI safety zones and screening protocols second nature.
• Proficiency in PACS and imaging software systems.
• Confident in contrast administration and contraindication assessment.
• Strong communication skills with patients, physicians, and teammates.
• Calm under pressure and sharp under a deadline.
• Willingness to mentor staff and students and contribute to a positive clinical culture.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners to produce high-resolution diagnostic images and evaluate own work before radiologist.
• Apply MRI physics knowledge, cross-sectional anatomy, and contrast protocols for each study.
• Enforce MRI safety zones and screen patients thoroughly; monitor during procedures.
• Maintain clean, complete patient documentation and proficiency in PACS/imaging software.
• Manage own workflow, perform routine quality control, and adapt protocols as needed.
• Provide compassionate patient care with clear explanations and reassurance.
• Mentor staff and students and contribute to a positive clinical culture.
