Qualifications

• Associates degree or diploma from a two-year college or technical school.
• Active MT licensure.
• BLS certification within 60 days of hire.
• ARRT certification required; additional modality certification within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Access and update patient records in the hospital EMR system.
• Input physician orders into patient records.
• Explain imaging procedures and radiation safety to patients.
• Position patients and apply immobilization for optimal images.
• Administer contrast media per Radiologist guidelines.
• Monitor patient during procedures and communicate as needed.
• Maintain radiation protection practices and safety standards.
• Participate in quality assurance and cost management activities.
• Assist with supply ordering and budgeting.
• Support continuing education and competency assessments.
• May float to other departments within competency.
• May be placed on-call during scheduled shifts.
