Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Imaging Technologist (MRI Tech) at St James Hospital in Montana. You will operate imaging equipment, educate patients about imaging procedures and safety, and support the Radiology team to deliver high-quality diagnostic images.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, contrast administration per guidelines, record management in EMR, and adherence to HIPAA and ARRT standards. On-call, occasional float, and shift rotations may apply.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (AA) or diploma from a two-year college or technical school or minimum 6 months related experience and/or training.
• ARRT (R) certification.
• Additional Certification in at least one other modality within 18 months of hire.
• BLS within 60 days of hire.
• Current Montana Licensure.

Responsibilities

• Input Physician’s orders appropriately to patient’s records and update medical records in the EMR.
• Explain imaging and safety procedures to patients prior to imaging to reduce anxiety.
• Position patients and operate imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic views.
• Administer contrast media per Radiologist/Pharmacy guidelines.
• Monitor patient during procedures and ensure safety and privacy.
