Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Imaging Technologist (MRI) to operate imaging equipment and produce high-quality diagnostic images under Radiologist direction. The role emphasizes patient education, safety, and accurate record-keeping.

The position entails full-time hours with rotating on-call shifts at St. James Hospital, Montana. Candidates should have an ARRT certification, Montana licensure or eligibility, BLS, and additional modality certifications within 18 months.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or diploma from a two-year college or technical school or minimum 6 months related experience and/or training.
• Current ARRT certification.
• Current Montana State Licensure or eligibility to obtain.
• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
• Additional certification, within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Access, manage and update patient records in Hospital EMR systems.
• Input physician orders to patient records accurately.
• Explain imaging procedures and safety to patients to reduce anxiety.
• Position patient and operate imaging equipment per radiologist protocols.
• Administer contrast media as directed by radiologist.
