Job summary

Boys Town seeks an MRI Technologist to perform MRI tasks, ensure patient safety, position patients, and administer contrast when indicated. You will route images to PACS, verify study quality, and assist with procedure charging and recordkeeping.

The role requires ARRT in Radiography and MRI, CPR, and ability to work with minimal supervision. The position supports ongoing education and offers robust benefits as part of Boys Town’s workforce.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved radiologic technology program or equivalent military training.
• ARRT in Radiography and MRI within 90 days of hire.
• CPR certification required.
• BLS within 90 days if Cognitive Neuroscience dept.
• CITI certification within 30 days if Cognitive Neuroscience dept.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex MRI tasks per safety procedures and patient screening.
• Verify correct patient, site, positioning, and scan parameters.
• Position patients and use immobilization and protective devices.
• Administer contrast when indicated and educate patients about risks.
• Send images to PACS and manage basic PACS operations.
• Evaluate image quality and label studies appropriately.
• Route images and history to the interpreting radiologist.
• Ensure correct charging of procedures and supplies.
• Participate in performance improvement and survey readiness.
• Provide patient care and education aligned with the population served.
