Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform prescribed radiographic imaging procedures at a level of independence. You will position patients, select exposure factors, monitor safety, and review orders to ensure accuracy of results.

Responsibilities include educating patients, administering contrast as needed, maintaining equipment, and reporting scan results. ARRT MR or related certification and CPR are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent education or related experience.
• ARRT in Radiography or MR technologist certification preferred.
• CPR and background clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Positions patient and performs imaging procedures independently.
• Analyzes results and identifies issues with image quality.
• Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as ordered; monitors patient status.
• Prepares equipment; selects exposure factors and imaging parameters; performs QC.
• Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and performs other duties as assigned.
