Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an MRI Technologist with strong independent judgment to perform advanced MRI imaging and support department operations. You will prepare patients, select parameters, and assist physicians while maintaining strict safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires ARRT MR certification, 3 years of MRI experience, CPR, and relevant background clearances. This position emphasizes leadership, policy development, and quality assurance within the radiology

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• ARRT (R)(MR) certification required.
• 3 years as an MRI Technologist.
• CPR certification.
• Clearance certificates per Act 34, Act 33 and Act 73.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department operations, including staffing, budget considerations, and policy implementation.
• Mentor staff and manage HR-related activities and performance.
• Position patients and select MRI parameters per protocol; assist physicians during procedures.
• Ensure MRI safety protocols and patient safety standards are followed.
