Job summary

St. David's South Austin Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures and support patient care within a busy radiology department.

The role requires graduation from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program and one year of MRI experience, with ARRT or RDMS credentials preferred. You will follow MRI protocols, ensure safety, and collaborate with Radiologists to deliver high-quality imaging services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an American Medical Association-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Completion of courses in MRI - Magnetic Resonance Imaging and cross-sectional anatomy.

Responsibilities

• Produce MRI images of diagnostic quality for neonatal to geriatric patients.
• Follow established scanning protocols and operate the MRI scanner and related equipment.
• Complete quality scans promptly and prioritize workflow to meet STAT/urgent demands.
• Demonstrate proficiency in imaging trauma and challenging patients and adjust positioning as needed.
• Communicate findings to the Radiologist with appropriate disease process awareness.
• Maintain safety practices and accountability in the MR department.
