Job summary

St. David's South Austin Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures with a focus on high-quality imaging and patient safety. You will contribute to efficient workflow, adhere to protocols, and support the Radiology team in providing comprehensive diagnostic services.

The role requires MRI-specific training, ARRT certification eligibility, and commitment to continuous learning within an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an American Medical Association-approved program in Radiologic Technology
• Completion of courses in MRI - Magnetic Resonance Imaging and cross-sectional anatomy

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellence by consistently producing MRI images of diagnostic quality on patients ranging from Neonatal to Geriatric.
• Follow established scanning protocols and operate the MRI scanner and related equipment efficiently and effectively.
• Complete quality scans in a timely manner, effectively organizes and prioritizes workflow to meet STAT and urgent demands.
• Demonstrate proficiency in scanning trauma, acute & challenging patients; possess skill to modify positioning and scanning factors when standard cannot be performed.
• Possess knowledge of disease processes and image these findings adequately; communicate them to the Radiologist.
• Demonstrate accountability for clinical responsibilities and safety practices in the MR department.
