Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI scans and radiographs, ensuring high diagnostic quality. The role involves patient preparation, proper documentation, and contrast administration under physician guidance.

You will coordinate with radiologists to deliver timely results. The ideal candidate has at least one year of MRI experience, ARRT MR certification, BLS, and Texas MRT credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of MRI Technologist experience required.
• Graduate of a radiology or MRI program accredited by JRCERT or AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Current BLS certification.
• ARRT (MR) certification.
• Current Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification with Texas Medical Board preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for procedures and explain instructions to minimize anxiety.
• Complete documentation on forms, logs, and Meditech systems.
• Administer contrast using proper technique.
• Produce scans of diagnostic quality.
• Label images and identify according to protocol.
• Communicate pertinent information to interpreting radiologist promptly.
