Job summary

St. David's South Austin Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures and support patient care in the Radiology department.

You will follow MRI protocols, ensure high-quality imaging, and assist in maintaining patient safety and comfort throughout exams. The role requires graduation from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program and MRI-related coursework, along with ARRT or ARDMS certification eligibility and Basic Life Support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Completion of courses in MRI and cross-sectional anatomy.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellence by producing MRI images of diagnostic quality for a wide age range.
• Follow established scanning protocols and operate the MRI scanner and related equipment.
• Complete quality scans promptly and prioritize workflow for urgent needs.
• Demonstrate proficiency in scanning trauma and difficult patients and adjust positioning as needed.
• Communicate imaging findings to Radiologist with clinical context.
• Maintain safety practices in the MR department.
