Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center in Texas is seeking an MRI Technologist PRN to perform MRI scans and radiographs, following ARRT MR standards and patient care guidelines. You will prepare patients, administer contrast, document procedures, and communicate with radiologists to ensure high-quality images.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited radiology or MRI program, or AMA-approved program in Radiologic Technology or MRI.
• ARMIT degree or military training program of equivalent standards may be considered.
• Current BLS certification and ARRT MR certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for MRI procedures and provide instructions to minimize anxiety.
• Complete required documentation on forms, logs, work station and Meditech.
• Administer contrast using proper technique.
• Produce scans of optimal diagnostic quality on patients.
• Label images and identify according to protocol.
• Communicate pertinent information to interpreting radiologist in a timely manner.
