Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Technical Diploma in Radiology from AMA-approved program.
• NYS Radiologic Technologist IV License required within 180 days of hire.
• ARRT (X-Ray) certification required within 180 days of hire.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures according to departmental protocols and radiologist directives.
• Assess and prepare patients, including contrast administration and safety screening.
• Explain procedures to patients to minimize anxiety and maintain dignity.
• Monitor patient safety, identify emergencies, and follow isolation and infection control standards.
• Operate MRI equipment, adjust protocols, and ensure high-quality imaging.
• Document exams in HIS/RIS and transmit images to PACS.
