Job summary

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, Inc. is seeking a per diem MRI technologist to operate the MRI scanner under supervision, ensuring safe, high-quality imaging. Responsibilities include order review, venipuncture, IV contrast, patient safety, positioning, and PACS readiness.

The role requires graduation from an approved MRI program with an Associate’s Degree, ARRT MRI registry, and current BCLS certification; per diem status with day shift reporting to the Magnetic Resonance Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an approved Magnetic Resonance Imaging program.
• Must possess an Associate’s Degree.
• Must maintain a current ARRT registry in MRI.
• Must maintain a current BCLS.

Responsibilities

• Manages room workflow and facilitates patient care in conjunction with the Magnetic Resonance Supervisor.
• Reviews MRI order and confirms scan protocol; performs venipuncture and IV contrast administration.
• Screens patients for MRI safety and ensures proper positioning and coil placement.
• Controls access to MRI zones.
• Prepares and cleans equipment and scanner; performs daily QA on MRI scanner.
• Enters charges into EMAR accurately for all exams; ensures exams are available on PACS for interpretation.
